    KiRoad Performance: Accurate Wheel Force Measurement with Minimum Configuration Effort

The new KiRoad Performance is a compact on-board electronics unit that enables users to configure Kistler RoaDyn? wheel force transducers quickly and reliably. As well as ensuring that measurement data is processed reliably, this mobile control unit also supports intuitive wireless operation of wheel force measurement systems on the vehicle and, in future, on the test bench as well.

Dependable Measurement Data Thanks to Reliable Signal Processing

    With the KiRoad Performance, measurement of vehicle dynamics as well as durability and tire tests become easier and more reliable. Kistler’s KiRoad Performance provides the power supply for all RoaDyn? wheel force transducers. It also processes the raw signals from the load cells with crosstalk and lever-arm compensation. The control unit delivers data in digital and analog form to maximize the accuracy of measurement results.

Setup: Fast and Reliable

    When the system starts up, KiRoad Performance reads the individual characteristic data for each of the Kistler RoaDyn? wheel force transducers. As it does this, it automatically detects which sensor is connected to which input. The result: sensors are reliably identified and easily parameterized – so process reliability is maximized.

Wireless System Monitoring

     Thanks to the KiCenter software, operators have comfortable wireless control of all the settings from a mobile device, via the intuitive, web-based graphic user interface. The KiRoad Performance and all connected sensors can be controlled remotely for convenient support and service assistance.

Flexible Use in Limited Spaces

    This cost-efficient solution offers flexible scalability and supports measurements from one to four RoaDyn? wheel force transducers, allowing wheel force transducers to be added or removed at any time. It is also possible to cascade several KiRoad Performance units synchronously. The compact design (199 x 182 x 127 mm) makes the KiRoad Performance easy to install in the vehicle, even when space is at a premium.

Digital and Analog Interfaces

    Multiple digital and analog interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, WLAN, CAN, SSI and Field Bus are provided, offering flexible options for data output, ensuring maximum compatibility with existing systems. Extra analog sensor inputs are provided (two channels per wheel force transducer) enabling users to connect additional sensors (e.g. angle correction sensors or accelerometers) to allow synchronous recording of additional data.
